International Doctoral Seminar – 5th of May 2022, 16.00-18.30 (CET)

Feel invited to join our 5th International Doctoral Seminar!

The Doctoral School of Wroclaw University of Economics and Business (WUEB) is pleased to invite join the discussion in a series of International Doctoral Seminars which will be held online.

Objectives:

  • presentation of doctoral students’ research;
  • creating an international forum of discussion between doctoral students and established academics;
  • exchange of research experience.

The topic of the fifth seminar: “Energy and digital transformation in economics, finance, and management”

Program of the meeting:

16:00 – Welcome address: Prof. Bogusława Drelich-Skulska (Vice-Rector for Accreditation and International Cooperation) and Prof. Czesław Zając (Dean of Doctoral School of WUEB)

16.05 – keynote speaker: Prof. Krzysztof Jajuga is a full professor of finance at Wrocław University of Economics and Business, Poland. He is the Chairman of the Department of Financial Investments and Risk Management. He holds master, doctoral and habilitation degrees from Wrocław University of Economics and Business, the titular professor given by the President of Poland, an honorary doctorate from the Cracow University of Economics and an honorary professorship from Warsaw University of Technology. He carries out research and published numerous papers and monographs in the area of financial markets, risk management, household finance, multivariate statistics and quantitative methods in economic sciences. He is editor-in-chief of Argumenta Oeconomica (JCR journal). Among others, he is the founder and president of CFA Society Poland and holds the position of Chairman of the Committee of Statistics and Econometrics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

17:15 – Paweł Popławski, Doctoral School of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences: The Assessment of Commodity Market Conditions.

17:35 – Kamila Brodzińska, Doctoral School of Social Sciences of the Jagiellonian University: Action Research as a Support for the Project Knowledge Management Process. 

17:55 – Magdalena Zabieglik and Marcin Jachniewicz, Doctoral School of Social Sciences of the University of Łodź: Strategies of oil and gas companies in the Energy Transition process – case study. 

Moderated by: Prof. WUEB, Artur Klimek.
